...but then he decided it was more fun to play in the paper all the ornaments were wrapped in!
Then after Chase went to bed we decided to finally open the bottle of champagne that was meant for our 5th wedding anniversary in June! On our anniversary we were still in temporary housing and our anniversary bottle was still on the moving truck. From there we just kept putting it off and waiting for the right moment to crack it open! Feeling festive as we decorated the house, we figured it was time.

Belated congrats! I was excited to see you have a train tradition going, we have an HO scale train at our house.
I've decided against putting up the tree this year because I know I'll spend 80% of my time keeping James away from it. I'm such a Scrooge.
We hope to get our tree up this weekend.
Mmmm...champagne! Sounds yummy! (too bad I can't have more than a sip!)
