That sounds funny if you read it fast... like "Chasin' the hat." ANYWAY....
On the Saturdays I have the kids I have been taking them to Barnes and Noble for their weekly "Story Time." They read the kids a story and then do a craft that relates to the story. This week, to celebrate NEA's Read Across America project, they read "The Cat in the Hat," and then the kids got to make hats. Well, it happened to be a very irritatingly putsy project, so the parents ended up making the hats while the kids sat back and enjoyed the show with their cookies and juice (nice, huh?). Chase loves the hat, though, so I guess trying to glue and cut and tape while wrestling with a now-mobile 9-month-old (who wants to get her hands on EVERYTHING) was worth it!
