January Summary

We managed to have 3 fondue parties this month! We were first introduced to it at Jason & Lindsay York's house, and were instantly hooked! We tried to have our own with Bart & Nicole Warren the next weekend, but our cheese pot exploded! Thank goodness we were "class-less" enough to eat it right off the table! We tried it out again with Jill (Brian's co-worker) and her boyfriend, Jonah. Stainless steel pots are MUCH safer! Nicole and I met with possible directors for Soapbox's first production to get it off the ground!

December Summary

We spent Christmas in St. Louis this year with Brian's family. Our nephew, Ryan, was nice enough to share his video games with us and we were all hooked on the Nintendo Game Cube by the time we left! It was great to see Jen again, up from Florida, and Brian's parents (as always). This month we also tackled installing our new flooring in the first floor of our townhouse. We now have beautiful "wood" (laminate) floors to replace our old carpet. Brian also finished up his last big semester of classes at NIU. The end is in sight! I also got a promotion at work (my boss got promoted and took me with her). What an eventful month!

November Summary

We spent Thanksgiving in Alma this year with my family. We had a very nice, quiet, relaxing time with my parents and got to spend some time with all my step-siblings and their "little ones" (though they don't seem so little these days)! Brian celebrated his 28th birthday, so he can now stop calling me the "older woman!" I spent a lot of time in rehearsals for a show I was choreographing, SWING ALONG WITH SANTA (cast photo posted here). Brian picked up a second job at a private counseling agency and already has one client there!

October Summary

Well we had some serious fun decorating for Halloween (as always) and celebrated the holiday in the city, too (the photo posted is of Brian at the Daly Center). I took a 2nd job just for the Halloween season helping out at a costume shop to raise money for a trip to New York City (where I will see Broadway shows GALORE) in the spring! Elmer & Sheila came to visit this month and we shop, shop, shopped (we're so good at that)!

Best Birthday Gift EVER!!!!

Brian gave me the perfect birthday gift: He arranged for me to sing the National Anthem at a baseball game (a dream of mine). I sang at the Kane County Cougars game!
