Conversations With a 5-Year-Old: Talk to Text

Chase has had a lot of fun recently with my phone's "talk to text" feature. He thinks it's fun to send text messages with his voice, and he's figured out the faster and less coherent he speaks, the funnier the end result is.  I just had to share some of what he has sent as a result!

To his dad:
  • I get me a human it’s funny because I wanted a boring
  • I love Halloween babe sporting events during of that I don’t love me because it’s a little goat I’m a good day I’ll my day
  • My dad is okay my dad is still a bit crazy but I don’t have Halloween because it’s so boring
This one sounds a bit like Shakespeare at the start:
  • Speak now my dad in philly because even though she’s currently they he’s gonna happen to but I have a big score
And my two favorites:
  • K I don’t know me because women ah ah ah ah
  • Fake marriage spend the night but boring
Then we decided to text Grandma:
  • I love him and his blind melon no rain
  • How much I love you this is boring when I do stuff I'm going to tell me if I'm even if I don't love you because I have to go pick up sry maggot how to run away from do that
And (my all-time favorite)...
  • Damn I love you babe going when I love lana going in July night.
Sorry, Mom!!

Hoppy Easter!

Hoppy Easter! The kids came over yesterday afternoon for an egg hunt around my house. The Easter Bunny hid eggs inside...

...and outside:

The kids were so sweet to get me an Easter basket full of little gifts, one of which was a bubble sword. It was so sweet of Chase to get this "for me" (please ignore my terrible lawn)!

Chloe wasn't so sure about the big bubbles!

She thought they were funny but didn't really want to touch them:

Chase was nice enough to let me play with my own gift for a little while!  And if you have a bubble sword I think it's required to pose like a pansy pirate:

I say that like I struck a pansy pirate pose on purpose.  The truth is I tried to pose like a regular pirate, but... well... I'm a pansy.  I mean, bubbles are messy:

Chloe had a lot of fun with her new sunglasses.  I love this photo.  She looks like she's contemplating life, or she's Sherlock Holmes or something:

But alas, she is not.  She is simply my adorable little linebacker who I am trying to "girlify" a little:

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Fun at the Park

I'm helping Brian out for a couple days until he is cleared to lift Chloe again, so we all went to the park yesterday! Here are a couple cute pics I snapped while we were there. Chase and Chloe had a couple slide races:

It's funny to watch them at the park.  You can really observe how different they are, watching them run around. Chase has always been the cautious one...

...while Chloe lets loose with wild abandon:

As Brian says, Chase is our drama queen and Chloe is our dare devil!

P.S. This is my second post of the day.  Check out the previous post if you haven't already!
